About ACT & SAT Tests

Many Colleges and Universities have changed their admission requirements in regards to SAT/ACT since Covid.  Here is a resource to see if your desired College/University is Test Required, Test Optional, or Test Blind.  Test Required is exactly as it sounds, some schools still require the ACT or SAT as part of their application and admittance.  Test Optional gives the student the option to submit their score for ACT/SAT to be considered as part of their application.  If they have a strong score, this might give them a better chance of being accepted, but a score is not required for application.  Test blind identifies that a College/University will not even evaluate your ACT/SAT score as part of their application process. If you are not able to find your school on this list, please go directly to their website and look under Admissions for the information.

Seniors applying to four year colleges should register to take the SAT or ACT as soon as possible.  A Princeton Review article explains some of the differences between SAT and ACT.

Note: Test fee assistance is available.  Please check with your counselor if you think you may be eligible.
