Senior Graduation: Designing your Recognition Ad
The Senior Grad/Recognition Ads section has been one of the most popular parts of the yearbook for years. Seniors love their parents' personal messages and always anticipate which baby pictures will be chosen. You can wish them good luck, pass on some words of wisdom, tell them how proud you are of them, and embarrass them with baby pictures, anything you would like! We have made buying an ad easy with the attached directions. Don’t wait too long though; we have only a limited number of pages this year for Senior Grad Ads and they are accepted on a first come, first serve basis!

DESIGNING YOUR SENIOR RECOGNITION AD:
OPTION 1: JOSTENS ONLINE - Create your own Ad Online- Pay Online - Best Option!
Jostens Online. Direct connection to the Yearbook Publisher. Your Ad is directly added to the book.
NOTE: Online Option - Your Recognition Ad must be created when you purchase it online. Please make sure you are ready to Upload Photos and your Message to write for the Ad when you purchase it.

BASIC STEPS:
STEP 1: Go Online: Jostens Online Store
STEP 2: Create an account and LOG IN
STEP 3: SELECT YOUR AD SIZE and DESIGN FROM TEMPLATES
STEP 4: UPLOAD IMAGES/PHOTOS
STEP 5: EDIT IMAGES/PHOTOS (If needed)
STEP 6: INSERT TEXT (Student's Name and Message)
STEP 7: PREVIEW & BUY FROM JOSTENS
NOTE: Before you finish and pay, look at the other Graduation Items available. Don't forget to buy your Yearbook.
OPTION 2: HOME - Create your own Ad at home - Pay Online - Upload to Jostens.
1. Choose the SIZE of the Ad you want. Note the dimensions* needed for the Ad.
* Full page: 8.5 x 11" - Half Page: 8.5 x 5.5" - 1/4 Page: 4.25 x 5.5" - 1/8th Page: 3.5 x 2" - "Business Card"
2. Use whatever editing program you wish. i.e. Photoshop, Photopea, PowerPoint, Word or Google Docs ect.
3. Create the Ad in any style you choose. Number of Photos, Colors, Font Style ect.
4. Save the finished Ad as a .JPG file. You want to save it as Best Quality - 300 DPI if possible.
5. Follow the Steps below:
STEP 1: Go Online: Jostens Online Store
STEP 2: LOG IN or Create an Account if needed.
STEP 3: SELECT YOUR AD SIZE and then Choose "Upload Your Own Design" Template
STEP 4: UPLOAD YOUR FINISHED AD
STEP 5: PREVIEW & PURCHASE AD FROM JOSTENS
NOTE: Before you finish and pay, look at the other Graduation Items available. Don't forget to buy your Yearbook.
Additional Information:
- You will be able to approve the Ad before we submit it.
- Important: We cannot except and scan your photos. You must scan them yourself and submit the digital copies to us.
There are stores like Rite-Aid, with photo centers, that can help you copy photographs and digitise them
You have one opportunity to request changes and/or revisions before the ad goes to print.
If needed: materials can be Emailed to us at: Yearbook@sw.wednet.edu - Please make sure pictures are good quality (300 dpi). Pictures of poor quality won't print well.
- Pictures from social media sites are not of sufficient quality.
- DO NOT send us actual photos. We cannot be responsible for them and can't scan them
- Make sure you only send the number of photos listed in the layout.
- If needed, you can change the Layout Option but we can't add to a set layout.
