SENIOR GRAD/RECOGNITION AD INFORMATION

DUE DATE: Purchase the Ad by January 30th.

The Senior Grad/Recognition Ads section has been one of the most popular parts of the yearbook for years. Seniors love their parents' personal messages and always anticipate which cute and embarrassing pictures will be chosen. You can wish them good luck, pass on some words of wisdom, tell them how proud you are of them, and embarrass them with baby pictures, anything you would like! We have made buying an ad as easy as we can with the attached directions. Don’t wait too long though; we have only a limited number of pages this year for Senior Grad Ads and they are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Read below for more details

Please Note: Don't purchase an Ad before you are ready to create it. Josten's can't have you purchase the Ad and then create it at a later time. You MUST create the Ad when you place the order online.  If you need to change the it later, in most cases, we can edit it for you.

STEPS TO PURCHASE AND CREATE YOUR AD

  1. PHOTOS: Gather the photos you wish to use.

    1. Digitize them so you can upload them to Jostens for your Ad.

    2. Scan them at the highest setting. Resolution 150

  2. TEXT/MESSAGE: Think of the message you wish to use.

    1. It’s best to write it out first and then look at it again the next day. Many parents find it difficult to write out what they want to say on the first try.

  3. PURCHASE YOUR AD: When you have your photos and text ready, click on any of the links to start the process. ONLINE STORE: Jostens

    1. Create an Account

    2. Choose your Ad size and template.

  4. TEMPLATE: Decide on the size you want and then look through the templates available.

    1. Choose your Template 

    2. NOTE: You may also select a blank Template and upload a finished design you created.

  5. CREATE YOUR AD: This is when you create the Ad

    1. Choose Template

    2. Upload your photos

    3. Place them in the Placeholder

      1. Edit them if needed 

    4. Add your Text - Student Name & Message

      1. Choose your Font, Style & Color

  6. REVIEW: Make sure your Ad looks the way you want it to.

  7. SAVE: When finished and happy with the Ad, Save It.

  8. DONE

  9. SPECIAL: If you wish, you can have us edit the ad by putting in a Custom colored Background and different Font/Color Text. Just email us for information.
WHY PURCHASE AN AD?
What is a senior ad?

A senior ad is a custom-designed unit or panel in the yearbook, personalized with photographs of your choosing and a message dedicated to your senior, which provides your graduate with a life-long reminder of your love and support. 

Why should I purchase an ad?

Approximately half of the senior class receives a senior ad from a loved one. By purchasing an ad, you are ensuring a lasting memory for your student in the yearbook.  

Why the additional cost?

The yearbook program at SWHS is a co-curricular activity that is 100% self-funded and self-sustaining; senior ad revenue is the staff’s primary fundraiser. Selling ads help keep the yearbook pricing level and affordable. Senior ad revenue covers the cost of specialized production and remaining funds are used to provide equipment (computers, cameras, lenses) and education programs for students.
