About ACT & SAT Tests
The ACT and SAT are standardized tests used for college admission purposes. Colleges will accept either test, however, some universities/colleges may require specific testing such as the SAT II Subject Tests. Please check with the schools you are applying to in order to verify which tests they require for admission. Both tests are given multiple times throughout the school year in a variety of locations. Registration is done online and deadlines are normally one month prior to the actual test date.
Seniors applying to four year colleges should register to take the SAT or ACT as soon as possible. A
Princeton Review article explains some of the differences between SAT and ACT.
Note: Test fee assistance is available. Please check with your counselor if you think you may be eligible.
